Dr. Vicky Nguyen specializes in conventional root canal therapy, cases of traumatic injury, and surgical endodontics. She values educating patients about their oral conditions and is well known for her calming demeanor and excellent communication skills.
Dr. Nguyen received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Arthur A. Dugoni University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, graduating in the top 10% of her class with induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor soceity. She completed her Certificate in Endodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry at the University of Washington's Graduate Endodontics Program, where her research on pulpal inflammation was published in the Journal of Endodontics.
Dr. Nguyen has practiced in private practice in both California and Washington before joining Elite Endodontics. She is currently devoting time to better understanding the dental healthcare landscape by pursuing an additional public health degree at Harvard University. As an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, she serves on both the Corporate Relations Committee and the Foundation's Access to Care Committee, believing that active involvement in the bodies that govern the profession are vital to advancing endodontic care.
Dr. Nguyen finds great fulfillment outside of the office in providing care to underserved populations, participating in dental mission trips overseas and local pro bono dental clinics. She has served as an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington’s Department of Endodontics. She regularly attends continuing education courses to stay abreast on evolving technologies and values minimally invasive techniques to best conserve patients' existing dentition.
When not performing root canals, Dr. Nguyen can be found spending time with her golden retriever Murphy, staying active through golfing, cycling, or rock climbing, and traveling to new destinations.
